Artistic Statement
I am a performer, educator, and choreographer whose work is grounded in curiosity, athleticism, and storytelling. My artistic practice is shaped by a versatile background in many forms, and with each new project, I draw on this foundation to create a movement vocabulary that is physically dynamic and rooted in narrative. My choreography explores the tension between structure and freedom, the body’s capacity for resilience, and my lived experiences that inform my artistry. I aim to craft visually engaging work through opposition, gesture, and emotional clarity, inviting audiences to connect and feel something meaningful. Dance has positively impacted my life in countless ways, and I strive to share that same sense of connection and discovery through my work.
As a performer, I am committed to presence, expression, and detail. My work continues to evolve through collaboration, research, and exploration. Above all, I hope to create movement that resonates and art that encourages people to question, feel, and imagine new possibilities.
Teaching Philosophy
In my classes, I strive to create an environment where students feel inspired, supported, and free to explore their creativity. Dance has profoundly shaped my life, and I believe it is essential in a child’s development because it teaches expression, collaboration, confidence, and discipline. I am committed to meeting each student where they are, recognizing their unique backgrounds, needs, and goals. Yoga strongly influences my teaching, guiding my focus on alignment, breath, and mind–body connection; I weave grounding practices throughout class to support safety, strength, and well-being.
Drawing on my experience in performance, choreography, and teaching, I emphasize personal artistry, musicality, and full-bodied presence in movement. Students often share that my classes feel physically rewarding and tailored to their individual growth. I look forward to learning and growing with my students.
